4-Week Class, Intermediate Levels Welcome!
Wednesdays, 6pm - 9pm

Location: 2011 Tracy Ave
Skill Level: Intermediate (must have taken 1 prior Belger cass or equivalent experience)
Learn to create dynamic surfaces with Underglaze! Students will learn techniques such as sgraffito, carving, spraying and mishima to decorate their thrown or handbuilt artworks.
W1: clay wetwork: 4 vessel pieces, handbuilt or thrown due by week 2
W2: Demo of underglaze techniques such as sgraffito, carving, spraying, mishima
W3: work week
W4: Finishing up & glazing final pieces
For the first day of class, you will want to bring:
Paint Brushes, Clay Tools, Underglazes, a pen/pencil and Sketchbook
The Lab Fees will supply a starter kit of:
- One 15lb bag of Cone 6 stoneware clay
- Bisque and Glaze firings for all work created during the 4 weeks of the class.
- Outside of class Studio access with the following schedule:
Monday- Thursday: 8:30am - 9pm
Friday: 8:30am - 5pm
Saturday & Sunday: 10am - 4pm
