Skill Level: Intermediate (must have taken 2-3 throwing classes or equivalent experience)
This course is part one in a three course series that focuses on making a variety of table wares.
Often the first thing we learn to make on the pottery wheel is a simple bowl. That’s
easy…...right? Well let’s pause for a moment and take some more time to explore one of the
most fundamental forms in pottery! In this session we will focus on refining technique and
making many types of bowls. Aside from practicing base concepts of making higher quality pots
we will make bowls that serve more specific functions and investigate a variety of forms.
