Upcoming Events
June First Friday at Belger Arts
First Friday, June 6 from 6 to 8pm
Join us this First Friday for the opening of two new exhibitions at the Belger Crane Yard Gallery and a glassblowing demo at the Belger Glass Annex!
More Than Meets the Eye is a group exhibition featuring realistic artworks by six contemporary artists and pieces from the Belger Collection that challenge first impressions.
Chef Natasha Goellner will be replicating one of the pieces from More Than Meets the Eye as part of our series Replicake. Goellner owns Mulberry and Mott, an online pastry shop that specializes in French macarons. They can be found at events around Kansas City or through their monthly subscriptions.
Also, join us for the opening of Shifting Perspective: Belger Arts' Twelfth Annual Resident Exhibition. Our residents will be in attendance to talk about their work, so stop by and see what they have been up to during their stay at Belger.
Artist Talk and Pop-up shop with Smoosh Collaboration
Saturday, June 7 at 11am
Belger Crane Yard Gallery
Join us on June 7 for an 11am Artist Talk with the Visiting Artists, SMOOSH Collaboration. A Pop-up of their work will immediately follow the talk!
SMOOSH is a collaboration that includes Cara McKinley and Katlin Shae. Katlin works primarily with weaving and sculpture, while Cara works with clay, ceramics, and sculpture. The artists are enthralled by the marriage of clay and fibers, and inspired by the theory of how these materials and their process are inherently connected through history.
