About Handwork 2026
Belger Arts is proud to participate in Handwork 2026, a year-long initiative that includes over 250 museums, art centers, organizations, educators, and makers to celebrate the diversity of the crafts that define America, bringing compelling stories and underrepresented art and artists into the spotlight. As a member of the initiative, Belger Arts is celebrating handwork through a variety of programs that provide visitors a chance to discover and experience craft.
Upcoming Experiences
Saturday, March 21 - 11:00AM - 2:00PM with Hadley Clark
In honor of National Quilting Day on March 21, we’re offering a fiber-focused workshop with Hadley Clark. The workshop is open to all skill levels and perfect for anyone interested in exploring quilting and natural dyeing techniques to create a custom handmade sachet.
Saturday and Sunday April 11-12 10:30AM-1:30PM with Kacey Ziegler
In this two-day Weekend Intensive, Kacey Ziegler will share her secrets and train you to draw objects confidently. You’ll never utter “I can’t even draw stick figures” again! No prior drawing experience necessary. This class will help you build your skills from the ground up. We will delve into drawing from observation, imagination, and reference, combining all three to make your pottery better.
Thursdays in April 9-30 from 6:00PM-9:00PM with Stephen Homer
In this class we will explore making our own ceramic beads, buttons, pendants, earrings, and brooches! Through rolling, carving, pressing, and molding we will learn how to create unique and repeatable forms for adornment and learn to express ourselves through clay in the miniature in a bold way. We will use stoneware, porcelain, and colored clay to create, explore different ways to glaze and finish our pieces both in and out of the kiln, cover attaching findings and have tons of fun while we’re at it. Additionally you will have the opportunity to Raku fire some of your jewelry, scheduling for that will be weather dependent and take place outside of the normal class times.
Four-session class (level 1)
Beginners welcome, no experience required.
