About Handwork 2026

Belger Arts is proud to participate in Handwork 2026, a year-long initiative that includes over 250 museums, art centers, organizations, educators, and makers to celebrate the diversity of the crafts that define America, bringing compelling stories and underrepresented art and artists into the spotlight. As a member of the initiative, Belger Arts is celebrating handwork through a variety of programs that provide visitors a chance to discover and experience craft.

Through rolling, carving, pressing, and molding we will learn how to create unique and repeatable forms for adornment and learn to express ourselves through clay in the miniature in a bold way. We will use stoneware, porcelain, and colored clay to create, explore different ways to glaze and finish our pieces both in and out of the kiln, cover attaching findings and have tons of fun while we’re at it. Additionally you will have the opportunity to Raku fire some of your jewelry, scheduling for that will be weather dependent and take place outside of the normal class times.
