Skill Level: Intermediate *must be able to consistently center and throw at least 4” tall objects
Location: 2011 Tracy Avenue
Four week course
Learn to create larger, more interesting artworks by throwing in sections on the wheel and assembling/attaching them together! Think vessels, vases, candlestick holders or sculptural pieces. This class is perfect for those who are confident in throwing small to medium forms and want to scale up. You’ll be amazed at how quickly you can accomplish larger pieces when using this method!
Week 1: Learning to plan and breaking down a piece into simple forms, wheel demo, sketches of 2-3 possible projects
Week 2: Assembling parts, seamless vs showing attachments, balancing
Week 3: Handle and attachments demo, workday helping people through starting the process and different components
Week 4: finishing up! Glaze and surface demo

—firings of all work made during the course
-outside of class studio access with the following schedule:
Mon-Thur 8:30am-9pm, Fri 8:30am-5pm, Sat & Sun 10am-4pm
