Feb 5-26 w/ Joel Pisowicz
Location: 2011 Tracy Ave
Skill Level: Intermediate (must have taken 2-3 throwing classes or equivalent experience)
This course is part one in a three course series that focuses on making a variety of table wares.
Cups have been a necessity since the beginning of human civilization. While cups come in a
wide variety of shape, size and material; they are a baseline of the potter's practice. The
concept of a cup is simple, but the execution of making a well designed, quality drinking vessel
is not. In this session we will focus specifically on vessels intended for use with liquids. Aside
from surveying basic concepts of quality drinking vessels, we will work on a variety of forms that
serve specific functions such as the storage and pouring of liquids.
