Exploring Handles!
One Day Weekend Intensive, Intermediate Levels Welcome! (must have previous Ceramic experience)
Saturday, March 22 - 10am-5pm (with 1 hour for lunch)
w/ Bekah Bliss
Skill Level: Intermediate: must have taken 1 Belger class, or equivalent experience
Location: 2011 Tracy Ave
Want to learn a variety of approaches to handle making? Pinched, pulled, carved…the list goes on! Bekah will share tips for consistent handles with an emphasis on comfort. You will learn about the nuances of good handles and what considerations should be taken for size and shape. Bekah will demonstrate a variety of techniques and you will work in tandem with instructor feedback.
What to Bring:
You can bring in progress mug bodies (or something fancier like a casserole dish!) to attach your handles to or bring nothing and show up for the sole goal of skill building.
Some clay will be provided, but if you are bringing other pots to attach handles too, we recommend bringing more of that same clay body to the workshop.
Included with the class:
- 5 lbs of cone 6 clay
