These short and condensed format classes bring a new level to our educational programming that we are excited to share!
Whether you're looking to try something new, deepen your practice, or develop professional skills, these convenient weekend classes will deliver. Ranging from three-hour sessions to multi-day offerings, these smaller-sized classes provide a focused experience in our new classroom space.

REQUIREMENTS: Age 18+
CANCELLATIONS: If you need to change or cancel your class within three days of its scheduled start date, a $25 fee will apply.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made on the day of the class.
Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27 10:30AM-1:30PM
In this two day Weekend Intensive, Kacey Ziegler will share all of her secrets and train you to draw objects confidently. You’ll never utter “I can’t even draw stick figures” again! No prior drawing experience necessary, this class will start from scratch and focus on the skills that will pair best with a ceramics practice. We will delve into drawing from observation, imagination, and reference as well as ways to combine all three to make your pottery better.
Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15, 10:30AM-5:30PM (with one hour for lunch)
Coil building is one of the oldest forms of ceramic construction and has been used by various artisans all over the globe since long before written history. In this two-day Weekend Intensive, we will cover all the basic skills and techniques to utilize this easy and quick way to make functional and decorative objects.
Saturday, August 30 10:30AM-5:30PM (with one hour for lunch)
This one day Weekend Intensive will help you understand how to take professional photos of your work using your phone and/or a digital camera. We will explore both static photos using solid backdrops and dynamic activated photos with staging and props. Various lighting options will be covered, and we will discuss post-shoot editing and cataloging.
This class is designed to help you take better photos of your work without getting too bogged down in highly technical details, so don’t be afraid!
Saturday, July 12 10:30AM-5:30PM (with one hour for lunch) and Sunday, July 13 10:30AM-1:30PM
In this two day Weekend Intensive, Adams Puryear will share ideas and various techniques for creating handbuilt Mugs.
This is a great workshop for beginning handbuilders and for understanding the vast amount of possibilities that underglaze provides using the mug as a 3D canvas.
Sunday, August 10 - 10:00AM-5:00PM (with 1 hour for lunch)
This class we will cover everything from how electric kilns work to how to properly load and program a kiln! In the first half of the class we will go over all the information you need to comfortably and effectively use an electric kiln for various kinds of firings, error messages and what they mean, and generally demystify the working of kilns. In part two we will do some hands on work loading both a bisque firing and a glaze firing so everyone gets a chance to see firsthand how best to load a kiln.
Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29 10:30AM-5:30PM (with one hour for lunch)
This class will help you develop the skills needed to build larger with coils.
In this two-day Weekend Intensive, you will build two large (12 to 18 inches tall or larger) organic freeform vessels in tandem, honing your skills and techniques in building larger works.
