$205.00

Wednesdays in April 8-29, 6:00PM-9:00PM with Hannah Schelb

In this class we will focus on using slabs and extrusions to create objects in clay. You will be guided in making your choice of object - could be facsimile of an electronic device or small sized piece of furniture - it is up to you! We will begin with making simple templates for each of our individual designs and talk through construction steps, covering tricks and tips for working with the slab roller, drying and manipulation of clay slabs. Then we will cover the use of a hand extruder with regular dies and hollow form dies before moving on to construction, attachments, and refining our objects. Finally we will go over the use of wax resist to create crisp lines when glazing and glaze application!
