Statement

Stephen Creech is an artist working to create joyful experiences that celebrate what is possible. Each artwork explores the concepts of multiple dimensions and worlds. The surfaces and landscapes are teeming with life, which becomes the focus and the setting for his pieces. The pieces come to life as a collaboration with the usage of materials, heat, time, and other physical properties. The heat and energy of the kiln allow for the creation of metaphors that encompass the intersection of science, metaphysics, and the human condition. The goal is to create works of joy, interest, and beauty accessible to anyone, each driven by process and discovery. At a deeper level, each piece reveals a story and connection to previous works weaving an extensive narrative of a universe where all of these parts collide.
