Scott Fouché
Bio
Scott Fouché was born in Columbus, Ohio, and grew up in the rural areas surrounding the city. After graduating from The Ohio State University in 2008 with a Bachelors in Fine Art, he decided that traveling and working for artists was the best way to improve his technical skills. After a brief stint in Florida, he moved to Seattle and joined many of his colleagues. Working for a number of production studios and top artists in the field allowed him to really find his own voice while being proficient at working with the material. Teaching lessons to hobbyists, the public, and even group events helped to build communication in a medium that has its own language. After several years in Seattle, he moved to Hawaii and helped build a state of the art glass studio/gallery in Maui. This added electrical, wood, and metal design into his already strong sculptural background. After 5 years in Maui, he returned to Ohio to start building his own studio and also work for the local glass museum. Working with the community where he grew up, gave him a new found appreciation for educating the public. He currently resides in Kansas City, MO, working for Monarch Glass Studios and has helped to build the new glass facility for Belger Arts.
