ARtist Statement

Crafting reimagined adaptations of items reveals observations of myself and my perceived reality. I am attracted to using materials, such as wood, repurposing objects and natural processes like bone decay and decomposition, that evolve slowly and remind us of our lasting presence and existence in this world. The work that I find myself creating is an exercise where my mind and body work in unison - participating in a dance of muscle memory and spontaneity - a demand of presence and non-judgment.
