Artist Statement
My work seeks to bring moments of visibility to the otherwise transparent. Whether it is the invisible systems we rely upon daily yet routinely take for granted, or the fleeting ideas and feelings we have throughout the day that immediately slip out of mind and are forgotten. Glass as a material lends itself perfectly to conveying concepts of invisibility, transparency, hidden layers, clarity, and fragility. It is ideal for creating opportunities to look at something we typically look through.
