The torch is an essential tool when sculpting glass in the hot shop. Spot heating an area of glass drives extra heat into a specific place allowing precise manipulation without disturbing the overall form.

In this three-day special topic workshop, resident artist Tyler Suter will teach you the many facets of proper torch usage and maintenance, how to find and modify your own sculpting tools, and how to put those tools to use in combination with the torch.

Tyler will give short demonstrations daily with plenty of work time in between for you to practice new skills and bring your own creative ideas to the process.

 * Glass 2 or equivalent required.
