Learn how to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair an electric kiln!
We will cover basic kiln care practices to help maintain your kiln in the best possible way, troubleshooting problems when they arise, and how to repair your kiln to get it back up and running. This class includes presentation and demonstration as well as hands on experience opportunities to replace elements, thermocouples, wiring, and relays. The parts we will be working with are Skutt kilns, however the methods and information apply to other brands of electric kilns as well!
Skill Level: Level 3 (Intermediate-Advanced)
Requirements: Knowledge of ceramics and basic understanding of electric kilns required (or completion of Introduction to Electric Kilns and Firing)
