Take your kiln-glass practice to the next level as you master the art of the multi-fire process. In this dynamic, hands-on workshop, you’ll do more than melt glass—you’ll discover how to treat it as a raw material you can engineer, deconstruct, and reimagine into something entirely your own.

You’ll begin by creating custom patterned design sheets using glass powders, frits, and stringers. After the first kiln firing, the real magic begins: you’ll cut, slice, and arrange your custom patterns into entirely new, complex compositions for a second firing. Finally, you’ll move into the cold shop to grind, shape, and polish the edges, transforming your work from a simple kiln-melt into a sophisticated, professional-grade piece of art.

Some glass cutting experience recommended, but adventurous beginners are welcome!
