Live Demonstrations
Visit the Belger Glass Annex for a glass blowing demonstration led by professional glass blowers. Watch them create a piece of glass artwork or demonstrate an object your group can make during a Group Glass Experience.
Watch a ceramics demo led by one of our studio members or resident artists at the Belger Crane Yard Studios. Learn how to master the wheel or sculpt a piece of art from clay.
Groups can request a Live Demo as part of their group tour and/or group experiences.
Group Experiences
Group Glass Experiences
Want a hands-on glassblowing or fusing experience for your private group?
Please email glass@belgerartscenter.org at least two weeks in advance, indicating your glassblowing or glass fusing activity preference.
Glass blowing
Professional glass blowers will help guests create their very own glass pieces. Everyone in the group makes the same object, but each participant chooses their colors to create a unique piece. You can choose to make one of the following glass objects: Stemless wine glass, Tumbler, Heart, Candy dish, Flower, Pumpkin, or Ornament.
Glass Fusing
A professional glass artist teaches the fusing process and assists students with their projects. Everyone works on the same type of project, and you can choose to make one of the following glass objects: Jewelry, Magnets, Light catchers, Coasters, Wind chimes, or Pet Portraits.
Group Ceramics Experience
Similar in format to our popular Date Nights and Saturday Socials, you’ll get a demonstration from one of our talented instructors, then spend time making and decorating your very own ceramic object with as much or as little guidance as you like.
We take care of the final glazing and firing, box everything up for you, and you’ll be able to pick them up in just a few weeks!
Please note that we require a minimum of two-weeks notice to schedule a Group Experience.
Handbuilding
Handbuilding options can be tailored to your crew (examples: bowls, vases, planters, etc) and are available for almost any day and time.
Wheel throwing
Get a chance to flex your creativity on the pottery wheel! Wheel-throwing is typically not available Mon-Fri from 6:00PM-9:00PM, Saturdays after 1:00PM, and Sundays after 3:00PM due to other class scheduling.
