Artist Statement
Artist, teacher, biologist, and potter whose work encompasses pottery, performance, participatory art, installation, collage, and sculpture. His practice transitions in dialogue between his curatorial, artistic, and teaching activities. Jerónimo's work explores three main branches: the biological bauplan and patterns of nature, the anthropomorphosis and construction of characters, and the processes of queering related to craft, techniques, and objects. In these processes, he integrates acetate, wax, salt, hair, and other materials in his pieces.
