Bio

Zuee is a ceramic artist based in Mumbai. After beginning her journey with a short course, she went on to complete a residency at Clayfingers Pottery in Kerala and has since dedicated herself fully to ceramics. Her studio practice often mirrors the rawness and unpredictability of nature and its elements. Inspired by the Mingei movement, her work values simplicity, honesty in form, and the beauty of use.

Artist Statement

My work embraces the unpredictability of the ceramic process, where fire and material decide as much as I do. Influenced by textures and forms in nature, I experiment with materials to create surfaces that carry depth and variation. The imperfections and irregularities often remain, not as flaws, but as part of the piece’s story and character.
