Artist Statement

I approach clay with a sense of joyful discovery. Boxes captivate me, their flat surfaces acting as a blank canvas to explore the interplay of color and texture. I craft each piece with care, focusing on clean lines and solid structure, but once the form is set, I shift into a more playful mode. I apply color and texture intuitively, layering, pressing, and scratching in a way that feels spontaneous and full of surprise. The balance between the precision of the form and the freedom of expression on its surface is what brings each piece to life.
