Artist Statement
I consider the relationship between my vessels and the user, seeking to nourish and give joy. My ideas arise from the seemingly ordinary: the texture and color of a plant, the pattern on rocks, the thoughtful design and comfort of a chair. Letting my process evolve naturally, I question the balance of each form with a playful curiosity. Often leaving direct evidence of the construction, I create surfaces to elevate the tactile senses.
